Welcome to A Reader's Fairytale!

Hi and welcome to my blog A Reader's Fairytale!

I just wanted to post this post to introduce myself. My name is Jackie and I am a 20 year old communication and media studies major. I love the color pink, I'm obsessed with anything with bows and I love fairytales and yes I do believe in them. I'm a ballet and tap dancer and have been doing it for 13 years now. Besides dancing my other hobby is that I'm also a writer. I took this course in college because I've always had the fascination to read and to write stories. My goal is to finish my first novel and to one day see it published. I started this blog because like any other book blogger I'm obsessed with reading. So I have pretty simple hobbies. reading, writing and dancing pretty much sums up me as a person.

A little about my past regarding books. I started reading when I was probably 4 years. Since my mother was a teacher she taught me early so when I entered pre-school I could read better than any of the other kids there. Reading came naturally to me unlike math (hate that subject) I was always enthralled by the books and was always the one to read the stories to my classmates since they were still learning.

I was either always in the library or convincing my parents to buy me books from the book fairs at school we used to have or when the teacher gave you this catalog with books and different cool things in it. I remember saving my money everyday so I could buy something from there and I usually got a book or two. My mom always took me to the public library and I used to love going I remember always begging her to take me and when she let me get my own library card I could tell you I was happier than a kid in a toy store or is it candy store I'm not sure. During Christmas I would get books and to some kids that was probably crazy but to me they were amazing.

In my teens I traveled to the libraries still and discovered bookstores. I went to Borders and Barns and Noble with my best friend and we would sit there all day drinking hot chocolate and reading books. When I came home I had more books than I could carry and had wasted my whole allowance for the week on nothing but books and my dad would always tell me that one day I would bring that whole bookstore to our house and it was probably true. I had bookshelf upon bookshelf of books and I probably read over half of them twice. When I moved away to college to a whole new country I left them behind and my mom and dad sold our house but my parents said my books were safe and that there were boxes upon boxes of them in storage. Sometimes I kind of miss them though.

I remember when I was in elementary and we were assigned book reports I was the first one and probably only one to be excited reading a book and then doing a report about it. Now back to the present day and I found about book bloggers and my life seemed complete I got to do what I used to love in elementary and technically do book reports on a blog and have other people excited about it with me. So that is the sole purpose I created this blog was to kind of relive my childhood a bit. Please tell me if you were as excited as I was?

I am also a writer of two other blogs which are fashionxfairytale and adancersfairytale. If you couldn't tell I have 'fairytale' as my theme for all three. I think I am done with creating blogs for now as 3 is enough. The first is my beauty and fashion blog which is self explanatory from the title and the other one is my dance blog which I write about my adventure being a ballerina and trying to start again after a 5 year break mind you I've been dancing since I was 3.

If you would like to contact me you may at crownedroyals@gmail.com and my good reads, twitter and instagram are below the bow.

I hope we can share this book adventure together and I hope that I could share my passion with the rest of you!
